Patrol Manager

The Patrol Manager is responsible for assisting the Patrol Director in all operational aspects of Highland Mountain Rescue. This individual must be hard working, self motivated, and have a firm understanding of risk management programs and operational procedures, both at Highland Mountain Bike Park and across the resort industry as a whole.

Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring compliance to all risk mitigation and management plans set in place by the Patrol Director
    • Provide BLS care to patrons and employees as needed, providing transport off the mountain
    • Keep a good relationship with local EMS agencies for help with further transports as needed
  • Work with the Patrol Director and Clinical Coordinator to provide inservice training and education
  • Assists with recruitment and hiring of all department personnel 
  • Maintaining inventory for all equipment necessary for patrol and risk management operations (rope line, flagging, signage, etc), and ordering required supplies while considering the department budget
  • Assists Patrol Director, Clinical Coordinator, Operation Director, as well as other departments as necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 4+ years experience in related field
  • 2+ years of managerial experience
  • Current state provider’s license
  • Ability to ride at an average level, with a desire to progress
  • Full-time availability April-November
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive and solutions oriented leadership practices
  • Be able to regularly lift 50 lbs or more for prolonged carry outs
